With more than 25 years of experience, Piovan Food & Powders is able to meet customer requirements at all stages of the process: from the reception of the material from tanker trucks or tanks to the reception of the product in bags and sacks; from the storage in silos and hoppers to the transport; from the receiving filters placed above the mixer loading tower to the in-line sieving and dosing of the raw materials for the correct feeding of a mixer.

Piovan Food & Powders has patented an electrostatic coating technology for applying food powders to sweet and savoury products.
An electrostatic dispenser generates an electric field between itself and the substrate to which the powder is applied. The powder passes through the generated electric field, becoming negatively charged. The product to which the coating is to be applied, being electrically grounded, allows the powder to adhere permanently and firmly.
How does it work?
Flour Cooling
To ensure that the quality of the finished product is constant all year round, regardless of outside temperatures and the geographic location of the production plant, Piovan Food & Powders offers a solution that cools the flour by air, without using carbon dioxide, enabling the lowest temperatures required by the customer to be reached efficiently.
Air-cooling technology ensures maximum operator safety and reduced maintenance costs.
Dosing
Piovan Food & Powders designs and manufactures a range of loss-in-weight dosing units that guarantee absolute precision and a flow without stagnation thanks to the spherical arc breaker and similar container geometry. The possibility of creating a premix between different ingredients through continuous dosing is also provided. The dosing of micro-ingredients, such as inclusions or other additives, is enabled by digital load cells.
The dosing systems can also be combined with barcode systems for complete traceability of raw materials.
Transport
Piovan Food & Powders offers dense and dilute phase pneumatic conveying systems that allow large quantities of raw materials to be transported over long distances, while maintaining the intrinsic properties of the food ingredients. These solutions are specifically designed and manufactured to handle food powders and viscous liquids, including flour, sugar, cocoa, honey, starch and inclusions.
Transport systems also allow ingredients to be pre-mixed during handling.
Industrial Process Cooling
PiovanGroup designs and manufactures process cooling systems for over 50 industries, where energy efficiency, small footprint, low environmental impact, precise temperature control and flexibility define product quality.

Supervision & Process Control
Piovan Food & Powders designs and supplies highly customised control and supervision systems for food ingredient processing plants, supporting customers from the initial analysis phase to the definition of system functionality and final installation.
The offer includes complete control system management with turnkey supply, including electrical panels and industrial control systems, SCADA platforms for optimised process management, product traceability data collection systems and integration with existing management systems (MES/ERP). Projects are created on the basis of a collaborative process and sharing of design choices with the customer, for perfect functional integration into the production system.
